1967 Ford Mustang Coupe 390 The restoration of this Mustang hardtop has started on October 2005. The body was completely striped, all paint was removed. The under side was sandblasted and primed. The front suspension was removed and was cleaned and detailed. The rear end has been sandblasted and it has not been detailed yet. The engine compartment has been restored to correct colors and all new hard wear from AMK was used though out the restoration. So every nut, bolt, clip, will be new and correct. The transmission is the original 4 speed and new front and rear seals were installed. The transmission works great and did not need rebuilding. The fly wheel was resurfaced and the original 11 inch clutch disc and pressure plate was rebuilt. The engine is a 390 S code that has been rebuilt and a few upgrades were done for better performance. I used a higher lift cam with a little more duration than stock, and I used the Edelbrock performer intake that has better intake runners than the stock intake. The engine is mounted on my test stand and it has been run to break in the cam. The engine is ready to be installed along with the transmission. The body and paint work are done inside and out. It has a show car paint restoration; the body panels fit perfect and are laser straight. I have spent over $9000.00 in the body and paint work. This IS a SHOW car IT has been done right from the start. The body is a true S code 390 Mustang with the 4 speed and 9 inch rear end. The rear end is the factory 9 inch with 3.25 gears with locker. It has the power disc-brakes option. The radiator is a 3 row radiator that came in the 69/70 big block mustangs. The export brace is an original Ford part. I can sell the car as it is now or it can be finish here.
