1965 Ford Mustang Fastback This is a very nice 1965 fastback with new paint and interior. The restoration is just finished. Interior: interior is standard black with many new parts installed. This is just some of the new parts. Carpet including the fold down carpet, seat covers, door panels, dash pad, headliner, kick panels, scuff plates, arm rest bases and pads, instrument cluster, and all weather stripping. The radio is an after market AM/FM Cassette and it still has the original front seat belts. A very nice restoration of the interior. Body: the paint is vintage burgundy and fresh. I just added the Shelby lemans stripes and the GT 350H stripes. The left quarter panel has been replaced. It is not a complete restoration but it is a very beautiful mustang fastback. The floors are original and I have not found any major problems with this mustang. The bumpers were replaced along with most emblems and chrome moldings. The glass looks great too! It has the normal light scratches from wear. The tail light doors are new along with the gas cap and outside door handles. Suspension: The front end has been rebuilt to include the lower control arms and all of the tie rods and center ling and Idler arm assy. The tires are new BFGoodrich 215/60R15 with raised white letters. The new wheels are American torque thrust II’s 15X7. The brakes have been rebuilt and I do not know the mileage since they were done. The shocks are new KYB gas shocks. Engine: The engine is a 289 2 barrel that has been rebuilt but I do not know the mileage but I have checked it over and have not found any problems. I will be installing a 4 barrel intake and carburetor soon. The 289 Runs great and it drives great also. I have detailed the engine compartment and replaced the radiator hoses with the correct reproduction ford approved parts and new correct hose clamps and battery cables. I installed the chrome factory type valve covers and chrome air cleaner and oil cap. This very nice fastback to drive or it can be shown. Options are available at additional cost.
