1966 GTA FORD FAIRLANE 390 HI-PO This is a REAL GTA ( S ) Code 390 Fairlane. It is a very, very straight body and has its original body panels with out any rust repair and the floor pans are original. The car was restored a year ago and the paint is just Great! It is a very slick paint which is Night mist Blue metallic “K” factory color code. Engine: the engine is the correct S code 390 Hi-Po 335 HP at 4800 rpm’s and was rebuilt with less than 1000 miles on it. The Carburetor is the correct one that came on the engine and the part number is C60F- 9510-N, the heads are correct and so are the exhaust manifolds, even the valve covers are original. The cam was change to improve the torque and Horse power so it should be in the 345 hp range. The spark plug wires are new to include water pump, alternator, belts, hoses, Hoses clamps, distributor cap, and Radiator fan clutch. The dual exhaust system is new and it is aluminized. The power steering has no leaks and works great. The air condition is factory. All gages work to include the lights for the oil pressure and alternator and cool engine light and seat belt warning light. Radio does not work. Transmission: the transmission was rebuilt this year and it is the original transmission which is the C-6. Interior: the interior is original and it has a few tears and worn places on the driver’s seat but they can be fixed with out replacing the original seat covers, the back seat is like new. The carpet is original and does not need replacing. The dash pad has the normal cracks at the speaker grill. The console is in perfect shape and is original to the car. The interior is mostly original and it needs just a few things done to make it even better. Suspension: the suspension is in great shape and it needs nothing, the shocks were replaced along with any worn front end parts. The wheels are new along with the tires which are BFgoodrich P205/70/SR14. The front end was just aligned this week and was check over completely. Body: The front and rear bumpers were replated and it has the original emblems. The paint is just show quality and the paint was done in base coat clear coat so the paint looks real deep and very slick. Body panels fit great and doors are aligned better than factory. The trunk compartment has the original paint on inside quarters and wheel houses and the bottom of the trunk lid was repainted and looks great. Detail of the trunk area is done to factory specs. The windshield is new and is tinted and shaded. The stainless steel chrome around the rear glass and front windshield was polished. I have had many requests for a 1966 GTA Fairlane and I have looked for many years to find an original GTA with the S code option and have been trying to buy this one since April of this year. I just sold a 1967 GT Fairlane last month. This will be a keeper who ever buys this one. That is why the car is in Great Shape.
