1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Clone This is a very nice Boss 302 clone. It started its' life as a fully option fastback with factory air-condition, power steering, and power-disc-brakes. It has the front and rear spoiler options and original rear louvers. The wheels are new 15X8 magnum 500’s on the rear with new 295X50R15 BFGoodrich tires and new 15X7 magnums on the front with new 235X60R15 BFGoodrich tires to include center caps and lug nuts. Engine is a 302 which has been rebuilt and has the harden valve seats for unleaded gas. It has the Ford shorty headers which work great on the early Mustangs. The engine horse power is estimated at 325hp. It has the Edlerbrock carburetor with electric choke and intake is Edlerbrock Performer 289 and Ford Motorsports valve covers and air cleaner. The distributor is Ford electronic and coil; the plug wires are new along with the distributor cap. New water pump, fuel pump, belts, radiator hoses and sending units were installed when it was rebuilt. The air condition works and it has a new condenser, dryer, expansion valve and compressor. The radiator is Ford 3 flew for A/C and fan shroud and has an export brace. The transmission is rebuilt and a shift kit was installed. The 9 inch rear end has been rebuilt with 3.25 gears. The rear brakes are drum and have been rebuilt and the fronts are disc-brakes with power brake booster. Stops Great!! New shocks are installed and air shocks on the rear. The interior is not stock. It has the factory dash pad without any cracks. The carpet was replaced along with the head liner. The seats are done in black cloth, front and rear. The front seats came out of an 80’s Mustang so they have better adjustment than the stock Mustang seats. It has the factory AM/FM radio with rear package tray speakers. New scuff plates were installed, and it has carpeted Mustang logo floor mats. Interior is very nice. The body is very solid. It has had one floor pan replaced - the left front and it was done correctly. The rest of the body is original to include the quarter panels. I have found no rust in the frame rails, torque box’s, rockers etc. The paint is just beautiful - it is not perfect - it has some paint chips from being driven, but it really is sharp. The color is Competition Orange with the black Boss 302 stripes. The front and rear bumpers have been replaced along with the tail light bezels and gas cap. The weather stripping was replaced around the roof rail and doors, plus the trunk weather stripping. I have driven this car - it rides great and drives great, with the look of a Boss 302 and the comfort of the newer style seats and A/C, P/S P/disc-brakes. All I can say is “WHAT A RIDE”!!
