1952 Ford F1 V8 flat head
This is a very nice restored 1952 F1 pickup truck with the very rare over drive transmission. It is a three speed manual transmission with over drive and it works great, the engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time of restoration, it has sat in a Ford dealer ship show room since the restoration. The body looks to be original along with the pickup bed and tail gate; it has a new wood floor with stainless steel strips installed. The cab really looks great and has the great option front window shade and the cab has been restored close to factory specs. It has new headliner, door panels, kick panels, sunvisors, seat cover and rubber floor mat and all gages work and so does the over drive. It also has the heater option and even the optional cigar lighter but no radio. All of the weather stripping was replaced, on doors and windows. Even the vent window frames were replated. The engine runs great and there are no problems with starting and it still has the 6 volt system in place. The generator has been rebuilt also. A new fan belt and Generator belt were installed during the restoration. New spark plugs were just installed. The front and rear bumpers are chrome and most of wiring system was updated, to include turn signals and all new wiring for the over drive unit. The suspension was completely rebuilt to include new shocks. King pins are not loose.
The wheels and center caps are in great shape and the tires look like the original Nylon tires, but are radials for a better ride, the tire size are 215/85/16.
This is a Great little truck, it drives like new, because just about everything is new or rebuilt.
This is a very nice truck to show, but even better to drive. The hood ornament is missing, never got it back from the Chrome plater. I’m checking on another one.
