1965 Ford Mustang Fastback This is a very nice 1965 fastback with new paint and interior. The restoration was just finished. Interior: Interior is black Pony with many new parts installed. This is just some of the new parts; carpet including the fold down carpet, pony seat covers, pony door panels, headliner, kick panels with new carpet, scuff plates, woodgain instrument cluster, glove box liner and weather stripping to include windshield, doors, roof rail, trunk, hood cowl to hood. The am-radio is original but does not work; it still has the original front seat belts. A very nice restoration of the interior. Body: The paint is ivy green and fresh. It is a complete restoration and it is a very beautiful Mustang fastback. The floors are original and have red oxide primer. The front bumper was replaced along with most emblems. Hood letters are new along with trunk lock bezel, tail light, doors, antenna, outside door handles. The rear glass weather stripping was replaced. The windshield has the normal light scratches from wear. Suspension: The front end is great. The tires are like new - Cornell 535 radials 205/75/R14 with white walls. The wheels are 1966 style steel wheels with new center caps. The brakes have been rebuilt; I do not know the mileage since they were done. The shocks are new - front and rear. Engine: The engine is a 289 2 barrel that has been rebuilt but I do not know the mileage. I have checked it over and have not found any problems. The 289 runs great and it drives great! The engine compartment has been detailed. The radiator hoses have been replaced with the correct reproduction Ford approved parts and new correct hose clamps and battery cables. The valve covers are factory and original air cleaner and oil cap. This is a very nice Fastback - to drive or be shown. Options of A/C P/brakes are available at additional cost.
